</div><div id="kawista-description"> <h2><span>Tamansari (Water Castle)</span></h2><span>Formerly Tamansari was a recreation garden or a resting house for the Sultan and Family. The other resting houses including Warungboto, Manukberi, Ambarbingun, and Ambarrukmo functioned for the vacation and meditation for the royal family. The other function is used as hiding place for royal family to defend against the enemy assault. </span><br />
<span>Tamansari is located about 2 km south of Yogyakarta Palace. Built by Portuguese architect in European aquatic construction adorned with Javanese Symbolize ornaments. Tamansari was built in the Sultan Hamengku Buwono I period in the end of XVII Century. Tamansari not only just a recreation, but it's also a compound of bathing pool, canals, rooms and extremerly large swimming pool (if the canals opened).</span><br />

<ol><li> <b>The Sacred Room</b><br />
There is the sacred place in the complex showing a separated building, which once functioned as a hermitage place for the Sultan and his family </li>
<li><b>The Bathing Pool</b><br />
This part was formerly a pleasure place for the royal family. Consists of two bathing pool that are separated with a 2-storey building. From this building the Sultan watched all the women swimming in the outer pool. Then he might ask some of them to accompany him into the inner pool. The water sprouts from a forming animal statue into the pool. The pool is also adorned with some big flowerpot.</li>
<li> <span><b>Kenanga or Cemeti Island</b><br />
This part compounds of some building such as Kenanga or Cemeti Island (forming Island), Sumur Gemuling and underground tunnels.</span><br />
<span>This artificial island is a high building used as resting room and reconnoitering place. This will be the only building surfaced when the canals opened and the water over flew this area. From the higher place it like lotus floating in the middle of big pool.</span><br />
<span>Sumur Gemuling is building constructed in circle such a well (Javanese: sumur) where some rooms formerly used as praying room.</span><br />
<span>The tunnels in this area were underground passageways to the Sultan palace. The legend says about secret tunnel connecting to the south sea (Indian Ocean) where Nyai Roro Kidul or the Queen of the South has her palace. The supernatural Queen becomes the wife of Yogyakarta Sultan for many generations. This secret tunnels is gateway to the world where the Sultan meeting is supernatural wife. However the building also functioned as a hiding place for the royal family against the enemy attack.</span><br />

</ol><span>Tamansari is an interesting place to visit. Besides the location is very closed to the Sultan palace, Tamansari has it owned speciality in attraction reflecting in some unimpaired ancient building and its atmosphere as the main tourist object of Yogyakarta.</span><br />
<span>There is Masjid Sokotunggal, a unique mosque with a single pillar that is different from Javanese traditional architecture. Although built in the early of XX century, the mosque gives another attraction of this area. Kampung Taman that lies in the Tamansari complex nearby known for the batik craft. Visitor can buy or watch handmade process for both batik painting and batik clothes. Therefore people from all over Indonesia and abroad have visited this village. Not for from Tamansari is Ngasem traditional market, the biggest bird market in Yogyakarta. All of those attractions have made Tamansari become one of main tourist object in Yogyakarta besides Yogyakarta palace.</span><br />

<i>Bibimbap, </i>the famed Korean rice dish is essentially mixed rice - <i>namul</i> or marinated vegetables, meat, usually an egg and <i>gochujang</i> (red pepper paste) served on top of a bed of rice. The variety of colours and textures of <i>bibimbap</i> make not only for a delicious dish but also an incredibly pretty dish. I have always loved <i>bibimbap</i> but it took me a while to feature as although simple, it does involve a fair amount of chopping and stir-frying. This deceptively simple dish has royal lineage by the way, it can be traced back to the Joseon Dynasty, a dynasty born in Jeonju where <i>bibimbap</i> was prepared in the royal kitchens. <i>Bibimbap</i> has since became Jeonju's signature dish and there is even a mini museum in the city!<br />

For the meat portion, I made an easy spicy pork stir-fry and if you prefer a vegetarian version just leave out the meat. <i>Bibimbap </i>is such a vibrant and appetizing dish, the different textures of the vegetables combined with the unique earthy flavour of the <i>gochujang</i> meld together to create this unique and representative Korean dish. Another delicious version of <i>bibimbap</i> is <i>dolsot bibimbap </i>where <i>bibimbap</i> is served in a hot stone pot where the rice is still sizzling, usually with a raw egg cracked in right before serving. <br />
<br />
Ingredients: (Serves 4)<br />
<br />
2 cups rice (short grain preferred)<br />
1 bunch of spinach, rinsed<br />
1 carrot, cut into matchsticks<br />
1 large cucumber, cut into matchsticks<br />
1 packet of bean sprouts, rinsed - (the big ones)<br />
1/2 pound of pork, sliced to bite-sized pieces<br />
Gochujang (to taste)<br />
6 cloves garlic, minced<br />
1 tsp gochugaru (red pepper powder)<br />
Sesame oil, to taste<br />
Soy sauce, to taste<br />
Salt, to taste<br />
4 eggs<br />

Method:<br />
<br />
Firstly, cook the rice in a rice cooker. Prepare the vegetables. Boil the bean sprouts for about 15 minutes in a soup pot with a pinch of salt. While the bean sprouts are being cooked, you can start cutting up your other vegetables. <br />
<br />
Remove the bean sprouts and drain as much water as you can. Place in a bowl and add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of sesame oil and 1 clove of minced garlic. Mix well with your hands (wear plastic gloves). Set aside. <br />
<br />
Blanch the spinach in boiling water until it wilts -about 1 or 2 minutes. Remove and squeeze out as much water as you can (you can use tongs for this part). Drain well. Add 1 clove of minced garlic, a tsp of soy sauce and a 1/2 tsp of sesame oil. Mix well with hands. Set aside.<br />
<br />
Stir-fry the carrot matchsticks for about 30 seconds or until it softens a little. Dish out and place on a platter. <br />

Stir-fry the cucumber matchsticks with a pinch of salt until they turn a little translucent. Dish out and place on a platter.<br />
<br />
Now, for the pork. Saute the rest of the minced garlic in about 1 tbsp of cooking oil. Add 1 tbsp of gochujang and stir-around till fragrant. Add in the pork. Add about 1 tsp of gochugaru (hot pepper powder) and stir around till well-mixed. Stir fry till the pork is cooked. Dish out and place on platter.<br />

Prepare 4 eggs sunny side up.<br />
<br />
Finally, assemble your bibimbap. Spoon rice into individual serving bowls. Place one sunny side up egg in the centre of the rice. Arrange the vegetables section by section on top of the rice. Spoon a portion of the pork on the rice as well. Finally, add about 2 tsps of gochujang (or more!) on top of the ingredients. Mix well with your spoon. For some reasons many children in this region was suddenly turned into dreadlocked. They were born normal, just like the other children, but then got a sudden high fever and grew dreads on their heads. Most people believed that children are the decendent of "pepunden" or ancestral founder of Dieng. They are then have to go through a cut ritual, after their demand were granted by the parents. 3 eggs (scrambled and chopped)<br />
3 green onions (thinly sliced)<br />
1 lb ground chicken<br />
1 onion (chopped)<br />
3 cloves garlic (chopped)<br />
1 tablespoon oyster sauce<br />
Black pepper and salt to taste<br />
1 pack spring roll wrapper<br />
Chili sauce<br />
Enough oil for frying <br />
<br />
Preparation:<br />
Stir fry onion until translucent then add garlic.<br />
Add chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper.<br />
Cook until chicken is cooked.<br />
Add the vegetables and cooked for about 5 min, then add scrambled eggs<br />
Cool the filling<br />
Put one tablespoon onto a wrapper, wrap, then deep fry<br />
Serve with chili sauce<br />

</div>Ingredients:<br />
1 tail (800 g) free-range chicken (kampung), cut 4 parts<br />
2000 cc of coconut water<br />
2 tsp rice flour<br />
cooking oil<br />
<br />
Seasonings:<br />
8 spring onions<br />
4 cloves garlic<br />
A knuckle (7 cm) ginger<br />
10 hazelnuts<br />
2 tsp coriander, roasted, mashed<br />
salt<br />
pepper powder<br />
<br />
Direction:<br />
Cut chicken into 2, try not to break up<br />
Saute chicken and spices until fragrant. Pour the coconut milk, cook in a covered container until water runs out<br />
Fried chicken with remaining seasoning already mixed rice flour until lightly browned. lift<br />
Kremesan materials<br />
3 tbsp cornflour<br />
75 g rice flour (can be added to the egg to make it more tasty)<br />

- Leave about 2 cups boiling water + chicken seasoning<br />
